The fête Malinké is a celebration with music and dancing. It can be a wedding, naming ceremony for a new born child, seasonal festival such as harvest time or initiation of boys or girls. Here was a wedding party we attended a couple of days after we arrived in Guinea in December 2007. Griots or praise singers arrived to praise the family using megaphones (which you can see in a couple of photos)
