Dates for the next term of WEA drumming courses :-
Monday 15th September 7pm Byker Community Centre 11 weeks £53
Thursday 18th September 6.30pm Drummed Up 11 weeks £53
Sunday 21st September 2pm Waddington St Durham £65
Courses are free to those on particular means tested benefits.
As its the start of the new academic year, its a great time to join a class. The groups are mixed in experience but all levels are catered for and beginners are welcome.
Also, my regular Teeside day workshop has moved to Boosbeck Community Centre TS12 3AL, which is 2 miles from Charltons Community Centre where I have run workshops since Jan 2013.

Saturday 6th December
Times are 2-8pm with a meal break. I will cook each day and food will be available for £4 (payable on the day)
Cost for the workshop is £25 or £20 concession for low income.
The group is mixed experience and we welcome new players who want to find out about West African drumming. The aim is to give a broad experience using djembes (hand drums) and bass drums (played with sticks) and we learn traditional West African rhythms – particularly from the Malinke tradition of Guinea.
